Apply for 2010 Energy & Climate Action Awards!

The Community Energy Association and Union of BC Municipalities are pleased to invite all local governments in British Columbia to participate in the 2010 Energy & Climate Action Awards competition.  The awards celebrate leadership of local governments taking action on climate change and energy and are offered annually to a municipality or regional district implementing a project or program that best integrates energy and climate action planning into community planning and development and corporate operations.
 
All BC municipalities and regional districts are encouraged to apply.  Past winners have come from all sizes of communities — leadership demonstrated to overcome challenges is an important judging criterion.
 
The deadline for applications is Friday, August 20.  Please download the electronic application from the Community Energy Association website at www.communityenergy.bc.ca. Applications must be submitted electronically to awards@communityenergy.bc.ca.
 
The awards are organized by the Community Energy Association in partnership with our sponsors - the Province of British Columbia, Union of British Columbia Municipalities and BC Hydro. The awards will be presented at the Union of BC Municipalities’ 2010 convention in Whistler.
